Danny has turned 6 and “Big School” is around the corner. It’s a family tradition to go to Oak Primary School – this feels daunting and scary and formal, and he is reluctant to leave the comforting, playful environment of his beloved Acorn Pre-Primary.
But he soon learns that big school is lots of fun and that most learning still happens through play! He was more than ready to tackle this new stage of education after all.
This is another fun but “real” rhyming story by paediatrician and mother, Claudia Gray; illustrated by Sarita Kruger. The aim is to take a scary new situation and explain it in a reassuring way so as to inform and empower our little ones! It even includes a section explaining all the types of educational stages from Kindergarten through to University, as well as all the important bits about “Big School” such as circle time, library time, and play time!
