Bettie Coetzee Lambrecht has been described as “iconic art critic” (David Krut) writing as Bettie Lambrecht from the late 1970’s until her retirement and move to Cape Town in 2010. She then exchanged the pen for the digital “brush” of the camera and computer, producing fine art photography under the combined name Coetzee Lambrecht and self designed Artist’s Books. Her work has been shown in solo exhibitions since 2010 in art galleries such as, De Waterkant Gallery, State of the Art Gallery, Mogalakwena Gallery, Woordfees (Festival of Words) and Eclectica Print Gallery as well as group exhibitions including the Affordable Art Fair in New York and found collectors both locally and internationally. She has been featured in a number of radio broadcast interviews, including recently by Johan van Lille on the prestigious arts programme on the local Radio Sonder Grense (Radio without Borders) RSG.
